Readers of Colour, Glasgow | Dirty Computer

  • Glasgow Women's Library 23 Landressy Street Glasgow, Scotland, G40 1BP United Kingdom (map)

Friendly community of BPOC Women and Nonbinary folks reading books by BPOC Women and Nonbinary folks. We tend to read short extracts together at the start of the session, using it as a jumping off point for broader discussion. So, feel free to come along even if you won't have time to read the text.

This month we're reading and watching. Following reading requests for Afrofuturism and SciFi, we're diving into Janelle Monáe's Dirty Computer universe.

Reading | An extract from 'Nevermind', a short story by Janelle Monáe and Danny Lore from The Memory Librarian and Other Stories of Dirty Computer. Part of the Dirty Computer universe, The Memory Librarian and Other Stories of Dirty Computer is a collection of short stories that Janelle Monáe co-wrote with some of the best contemporary sci fi and speculative Black writers out there.

Watching | Dirty Computer [Emotion Picture] by Janelle Monáe
