Museums, Empire and Difficult Heritage at Kelvingrove

  • Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum Glasgow, Scotland, G3 8AG United Kingdom (map)

Museums aren’t neutral. They construct knowledge and narrate the past. What stories do museums tell when it comes to historic slavery, colonialism and imperialism and their connections to empire? On this heritage trail led by Rosie Spooner, we'll think about these issues while walking through Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum. Meeting point is outside the building (Kelvingrove) near the rear entrance facing the car park.

Free event with booking.
