This talk by Jeanette Davidson (Professor Emerita of African & African American Studies & Social Work, University of Oklahoma) is based on her new book exploring what life was like for Black children growing up in Scotland. It will feature poignant stories of challenge, love, hostility, support, vulnerability, strength, abandonment, resilience, empowerment, accomplishment and identity.
